I will present Clasp, a new implementation of Common Lisp that uses LLVM as its backend and interoperates with C++ . I will also present the motivations behind developing Clasp, which is to develop software that will enable the design of sophisticated molecular devices that mimic and rival the proteins that are the machines that build the natural world.
