We’re at a crossroads. There is far more information now than was available in any previous era, and there is the potential for infographics to be vitally important to every single person. But… we’re in danger of losing our general audience in a sea of sterile and alienating visualisations. How do we head in the right direction? My answer: Use the classic principles developed during the rich history of visual communication, side-by-side with the new tools that technology brings us, and head confidently towards a very exciting future. Engage and empower the general public through infographics. That’s my dream.
