Working as an infographic designer, I constantly meet new challenges and tasks. For the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, I mostly produce graphics on a daily basis which often need to be design within a short timeframe. One of the main challenges in this line of work is to work precisely under time pressure, while developing functional and at the same time artistically well-balanced graphics. The focus on the reader is key. Infographics are to provide quick access to complex content. In my work as a freelance infographics designer, accessibility also matters to me. In my Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, I have worked on topics in the areas of environment and nature protection. In doing so, I aspired to develop a playful and stimulating access transcending the transmission of information. In my presentation at INCH, I want to display my varied approaches and working processes meeting different requirements by means of some work samples.
