At this half-day workshop you’ll learn to unite your content skills with agile methods from the world of product design.
Across corporations, charities and the government, digital teams are discovering that effective content is essential to experiences that work for users. Instead of performing outdated functions like “publishing information”, today’s content professionals combine their skills with agile methods from the world of product design. That means creating prototypes quickly, testing with users and learning from feedback—while working closely with colleagues in design, development and research. The end result? Digital services that are simple, clear and fast. And the chance to use your content skills to improve people’s lives.
This workshop is for content professionals who want to learn how to apply techniques from agile product development to digital content. You’ll learn how to:
• use contextual research techniques to discover user needs
• capture user needs using "user stories" and customer journey maps
• use pair writing to create content that meets the needs you discovered
• test content with users and iterate based on their feedback
