Workshop: Building a Simulated Self Driving Car

This is a hands-on workshop session so will require you to bring your laptop and charger with you.

This particular session is open to people of all levels of experience. Some knowledge of programming (in Python) will help but it is not essential.

Important: make sure your computer has git installed (https://git-scm.com), it is likely that it is already installed on your computer by default but check just incase, shoot me a message if you are unsure. All other necessary software will be installed during the session.

Agenda:

We are going to train a neural network to drive a car. We will do this by driving a car around in a virtual environment ourselves, then getting the computer to learn how to drive like us. The steps include:

1) Generate data by playing a video game
2) Train a neural net to mimic our driving skills
3) Look under the hood to inspect the code
4) Admire our autonomous cars lapping the circuit successfully.
