Women's Javascript Study Group

Overview

We're a group of women who want to learn JavaScript together. We welcome people of all levels. Beginners are especially encouraged. You move at your own pace in this group, so it doesn't matter if you are a fast or slow learner, or if you attend every week. (You can use any study materials or work on personal side projects. Whatever you prefer to learn.)

We meet every Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30pm. 

Format

We have a short discussion or a presentation on a Javascript-related topic when scheduled, then all hop on our laptops and work on JavaScript algorithms and tutorials. Many of us are using codecademy.com, but we welcome other tools. Although the focus is on JavaScript, we also cover closely related topics such as HTML and CSS.

(The only tools you need to start using JavaScript are a web browser and optionally a simple text editor or code editor.)
