Join us in our April monthly event. We have two great speakers sharing their experience and best practices for running Hackathons in New Zealand!
Schedule for the event:
- 4:00PM: Meet and greet. Networking, drinks, food and more
- 4:30PM: Linda Oliver, Inland Revenue
- 5:00PM: aimee whitcroft, GovHack
-- Linda Oliver, Inland Revenue:
Inland Revenue's IT&C team is experimenting with New Ways Of Working. One of these experiments is hackathons. There are two kinds of hackathons: the open event where people turn up to see what they can come up with, and a more structured event where recruited teams are given specific problems to work on. Inland Revenue has been experimenting with the latter format and has run three successful groups of teams dealing with a wide variety of problems.
Linda Oliver has been running the hackathon program and is here to share some of their experiences and learnings.
-- aimee whitcroft is an advocate for open data, open government, open source and civic tech. She's one of the national leads for [GovHack NZ], and will share her what she's learned running hackathons, and where she sees hackathons in general - and [GovHack NZ in particular] heading. Bring your questions!
Big thanks to our sponsor Robert Walters (*)!
We look forward to seeing you there!
