It all started in 2001 when a small group of UXPA Boston members got together at MathWorks for a day of presentations and sharing ideas. The "mini" conference was intended to be a safe, local place for people to practice their presentations for submission to the national stage - the UXPA International conference. The conference grew to 300+ attendees and changed location to Bentley University; in turn, it became an event curated by the Board of Directors, based on submissions from the membership. The conference regularly attracted over 1000 attendees, over the past six years at the Sheraton Boston when we implemented a blind, peer-reviewed process to help with the Board's curation of the event. However, due to safety precautions around the COVID-19 pandemic, we've decided to continue with an all virtual event in 2021.
The conference attracts researchers, designers, strategists, managers, product managers, C-Level, junior level, all people who love the field of user experience (UX)! An annual comment from attendees is that the best part of the conference is the networking: seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Attendees may request a full refund through Eventbrite up to one week before the conference. Attendees can transfer their registration to another attendee up to two days before the conference.
Anyone attending a UXPA Boston event is expected to review and adhere to our code of conduct.
