We are going to be running an awesome event on the 17th this month! Want to listen to some senior UXer's career stories? Having trouble job hunting and want to evaluate your current skillset? Are you are interested in workshopping your portfolio and would love a chance to engage in a portfolio surgery with real industry leaders?

We are hosting with a great agency in Tottenham Court Road all about shaping your Design Career! With career talks from Charlotte Gauthier, Head of UX @ The Guardian, Byron Fernandes, Senior UX Desinger @ Moo and Matt Corrall, UX Lead @ EE (Everything Everywhere), workshops on interviewing, defining your role title and design strengths and a portfolio surgery (not to mention F2F time) with all of our speakers, this is not one to be missed!

With space for up to 60, we would like to invite you straight from work for 6.30pm, to unwind with other UX and creative professionals over some drinks and food. Charlotte Gauthier
Lead UX Designer and Group Product Manager @ Guardian News & Media

Currently Lead UX Designer (and GPM) at the Guardian, Charlotte was previously Head of Product & UX at start-ups in Berlin and London. Charlotte has progressed from an entrepreneur within her own design agency, to a web analyst for the likes of Newsweek and the New York Times, before then acting as Head of Product for several start-ups.
Now, Charlotte is UX Lead at the Guardian and has helped organisations from seed-stage startups through to major publisher to better understand their users, design compelling experiences, and launch amazing products."

Byron Fernandes
Senior Experience Designer @ Moo

After getting his Masters in HCI from UCL, Byron spent the past 7 years as a dedicated UXer. Spending 5 of those as a freelancer has given him exposure to a diverse set of business environments and challenges, such as leading the UX for Addison Lee’s latest mobile app and working on interfaces for Costa Express’ self-serve coffee bars. Currently in a permanent role as Senior Experience Designer at MOO, Byron exercises his passion for evidence-based design and collaborative working, to create compelling systems that are both intuitive and a pleasure to use.

Matt Corrall
User Experience Lead @ EE

Matt Corrall's 14 years in design has seen him create toys for Lego, conduct research in rural India and run concept workshops in New York. In that time, he's designed virtual reality applications, smart energy meters, smartphones, chocolate bars, medical gadgets and sustainable packaging and for the likes of Sony, EE, Dulux, Unilever and Coca Cola. He also spent three years creating software for the renewable energy industry, enabling the design, build and upkeep of wind and solar farms around the world. Proof that designers need never be pigeon-holed, Matt works in digital UX, research and testing, service, industrial, packaging and visual /graphic design.

When he's not crafting web and mobile apps for EE, Matt trains teams in Lean UX, design sprints and how to integrate effectively with Agile development teams. A great advocate of quick, dirty and low-tech design methods, he also tutors in sketching techniques for UX designers.
