Using Polly to Build Resilient Applications with Erik Muir

As developers, we like to think of the applications we develop as if they were our children – perfect and without fault. But inevitably we must send our perfect code out into the real world. So how can we help our applications to be more resilient? We’ll talk about what that means and how it can be accomplished using Polly, a .NET resilience and transient-fault-handling library that allows developers to express policies in a fluent and thread-safe manner.

Erik Muir is an experienced full stack software developer, skilled in C# and .NET Core, knowledgeable about Distributed Systems and Service Oriented Architecture, with a propensity for puzzles, algorithms, music, and the Oxford comma.
