Peter Heinrich "Expanding Mobile Games to the 10ft (Living Room) Experience

The democratisation of mobile game publishing has fuelled an explosion of content and innovation when he looks at Expanding Mobile games to the 10-foot (Living Room) Experience.

Development tools like Unity and the rise of Android are now extending the audience for mobile games beyond tablets and smartphones to console-like devices connected to the biggest screen in the home. Players are enjoying casual, local PvP, and even mid-core "mobile" games in a whole new way. How do you bring your traditional mobile game to a set-top box, and what do you stand to gain? Are there specific issues to consider when making the transition? This session explores the benefits, pitfalls, and practical reality of making your mobile game run on the new devices.

Frank Penning ‘Next Generation TV’

The market for video Entertainment is changing. Amazon, Netflix, Maxdome and Mediatheken enter the stage and kiss the good old linear TV good bye. Or do they?

Why is linear still relevant and how does it have to change for the Broadcasters to stay in business.

How do you build such a TV app? Well, at least how did we at waipu.tv.
