This month we'll have a follow-up to our massive August presentation. The presenter will be Colin MacNaughton, Head of Engineering at Neeve Research. Anyone who attended the August presentation already knows this is one you'll definitely want to RSVP early for.
Neeve Research is a pioneer in the field of in-memory computing and are the creators of the X Platform, an ultra-high performance Java application platform. We will share our experience with what it took to build a low latency application platform in Java and will discuss the challenges and considerations required for achieving consistent microsecond level latency in multi agent systems. We will cover a range of topics including threading, memory management, I/O and coding best practices - with a focus on achieving low latency, and demonstrate how such applications can be written with the X Platform. This presentation will be of interest to anyone with a passion for high performance java and the emerging paradigm shift towards memory oriented computing.
