Udacity Self Driving Car Nanodegree Study Group Session and General Discussion

Jul 9, 2017 · Cambridge, United States of America

Note: Please include your email address in your RSVP, as venue entry instructions will only be shared via email.

While this event is primarily intended for those who are enrolled or are interested in the Udacity's Self Driving Car nanodegree program, all members are welcome.

We'll be holding our regular study group session along with a general discussion about the technologies associated with self-driving cars.  A few additional topics we plan to cover:

1) One of our co-founding members, George Sung, will pay us a visit from Silicon Valley to share his experience working for BMW as a self-driving car engineer.

2) Since March, a few of our members have been competing in the Udacity / Didi-Chuxing Challenge, with the $100k prize going to the team that most accurately detects pedestrians and cars using sensor data from Velodyne point clouds, radar objects, and camera image frames.  The competition will have concluded by this Meetup event, and we will share our experience and may provide demos of our submission.

To register for this event, please provide your full name, email address, and cohort month.  Also, for any topics/questions you would like to cover during the study group, please add them to the comments section below.

For further communications on this event, we will be sending updates only to those who register with their email address.  We have heard from some members that the Meetup mail queue server has sent them messages several days after a message was originally sent.  Also, if you have not done so already, please join Udacity's nd013.slack.com #sg-boston channel at https://nd013.slack.com/messages/C2N536RBM.  To receive an invite for this Slack team, please go to https://nd013.udacity.com/.
