Are your goals on track for your New Year's resolutions? Yes? This is great! No? Bummer! Not sure? You, like most of us, might need some more support in forecasting the future. This event is here to help you with that - at least when we talk about software delivery but maybe also in other life domains.
How do we move organisations from a traditional milestone-based approach into a more value-driven delivery approach, using forecasting techniques to help us to deliver more predictably and efficiently?
Together with your help we'll be running the famous #NoEstimates Game. For Delivery Managers, this is a great opportunity to learn new techniques and get insights into great data-driven forecasts. Developers and non-delivery manager, non-BA, non-PM types, are also welcome, this is your chance to get a deeper understanding of if, when and how to use estimates, forecasting when you're features are likely to be ready and the factors that affect how long they are likely to take to be delivered.

Aaron Bell has been a Product Owner/Business Analyst for the last 18 years and has spent innumerable hours stuck in stuffy rooms making inaccurate and often incorrect guesses about how long deliveries will take. Amongst other things, he currently tries to avoid these meetings and uses real data to forecast achievable timelines for clients of ThoughtWorks.
This workshop will take place in English.
