As digital matures are we becoming complacent about the way we think? New technologies and design challenges are rapidly emerging and this is no time to sit on our laurels! This October we're inviting speakers to discuss the way we think about technology and interaction, to challenge tried and tested ways of thinking and to offer a fresh perspective we can all apply to our own work.
Confirmed speakers include:
Andrew Walker, Man vs Brain
Author, raconteur, comedian, copywriter, entrepreneur and 3D Printing enthusiast - you name it Andrew's probably done it. We've been hoping to get Andrew along for some time, and this month's topic couldn't be more appropriate for the author of the excellent Man vs Brain blog. Andrew has already posted some thoughts here.
David Peter Simon, Thoughtworks
David Peter Simon is an Experience Design Consultant at ThoughtWorks, an agile design and engineering firm. His work criss-crosses between strategy and delivery, particularly to envisage the social and commercial impact of future technology. An ethnographer by training, he's fascinated by the way that culture shapes software.
Stuart specialises in user-centred, digital service design - he uses research to understand the big picture then uses creative technology and design to solve complex business problems. He also provides technical support to his mother when her iPad’s not working.
