The Shape Of Work To Come

Aug 10, 2021 · Wellington, New Zealand

Kia ora! Welcome to our August meetup. We are excited to have Judy joining us from the UK for a talk on ‘The Shape Of Work To Come’.

This session will be a little later than usual due to the time zone differences, but definitely one not to be missed. This session will not be recorded.

Talk starts at 6pm, Zoom will be opened just prior to this. We’ll be wrapping up around 7pm.

Talk overview:
The shapes of our teams have shifted during 2020. Once we worked in clusters, in the same physical space. Now, many of us work from home, some from the office, others in cafes and co-working spaces.

As you’ve noticed, that has changed how we work together - not always for the better.

Research has shown that one of the most effective ways to understand the way people think and interact with each other (and to shift it when necessary) is through metaphor. In this session you’ll use a precision inquiry tool optimised for the task, Clean Language, to uncover some shapes that may be shaping your thinking, and explore how the shape of teams may change in 2021.
