The Lesarde Development Ecosystem

Abstract: Tom has spent several years researching and observing the behavior and needs of developers. Along the way an ecosystem was designed and partially developed that addresses some of the the challenges of modern development. A company is being built with the intent of marketing the ecosystem. At the heart of the ecosystem is a new language which will likely be open sourced, not commercialized.

Much has been learned so far but, collectively, developers understand the challenges of development much better than anyone. The worst thing that could happen is to build something people didn’t care about.

Bio: Tom Dowdell has been psyched about coding since he first laid his hands on an Apple II+ 30 years ago. He has brought several products to market independently over the years. Tom has worked as a developer for the company formerly known as The Evil Empire on the SQL Server team and on a variety of other teams as a consultant. Most recently, Tom was the Principal Software Solutions Architect at VMC. Now, he is devoting all his efforts to building a technology company, Lesarde.

Schedule: Doors open at 6:00 pm. Food arrives around 6:05. Presentation starts at 6:30.
