Our main talk will be an in depth talk on The JavaScript Ecosystem presented by Ben Junya.

We will hear:

An introduction and revisiting of the many frameworks and tools available to javascript developers, specifically aimed to help newbies and professionals alike avoid #JavascriptFatigue

The ecosystem of JavaScript has grown. Long gone are the days of simply inserting jQuery into your website and fading stuff in or out. Entering the world of JavaScript today is an overwhelming task with lots of possibilities.

Get yourself up to speed with the topic with a single course!

While this meetup is directed towards entry and junior level developers, mid, senior, and neckbeard level developers are welcome to come for terrible humor and embarrassing photos of the presenter.

About the Presenter:

Ben Junya is ̶a̶ ̶h̶u̶g̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶r̶d̶ the lead Front End Architect and UI engineer at Zeconomy Inc, a financial technology startup based in New York City. Ben graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a degree in Music Education, and taught himself how to code all on his own. Some of Ben's notable tools he is familiar with are Webpack, ES6, React, and more.

Ben is a 72andSunny Alumni and has worked on various popular brands such as Samsung, Sonos, Target, and Starbucks. Ben has also worked on enterprise level web applications like and was previously a contractor at Team One Advertising. Ben also teaches Javascript classes with App Academy (

When Ben's not pushing buttons at a computer, he enjoys bodybuilding, SCUBA diving, Burning Man, and adventuring on the weird side of YouTube.
