About the speakers
Paul Bailey is Head of Design at SPARCK a global Design and Innovation consultancy. He's responsible for Design Practice in the UK, Portugal and the US.
As a Design consultant, he’s been working with teams to help create digital products and services for over 20 years and has created innovative solutions for some of the UK’s largest organisations and government departments.
But that only occupies his working week.
His real job and the thing that occupies the other 128 or so hours, is being a full-time human maker (he’s a father of 4.)
In this role as #DesignThinkingDad, he spends his time coming up with ingenious ways to edutain his kids. Helping them learn the 'Design Thinking' and 'Human' skills they’ll need to thrive during the digital revolution.
As well as co-hosting @NottsTechfast he’s a regular speaker on the value of Design and a passionate advocate for improving design literacy and problem-solving skills in early years education.
Gaurav Chander is an independent user research consultant. He has over 15-years of experience in a digital delivery and strategic advisory capacity. Formerly with Accenture and Capgemini, he has served multinational clients and the public sector.
The services that he has helped design and deliver have amassed well in excess of a million service transactions on GOV.UK
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Government Digital Service assessor. He can be reached on www.userresearcher.co.uk
