Knowing some Ruby will help as we will focus on Ruby examples with Cucumber.
What is it about?
This will be a training workshop with a mixture of talks and interactive hacking. We will cover:
Module 1: Cucumber basics and Cucumber advanced functionaility
Learn everything you need to start using Cucumber and uncover some of the less well known features.
Module 2: Where does Cucumber fit in the software life cycle.
Examples from Songkick.com of how Cucumber can fit into software development. Looking at real examples, following a feature from inception to delivery.
Module 3: Cucumber Patterns from the trenches
Patterns which can help provide better seperation of the UI, reduce the maintaince burden of step definitions, help balance different levels of abstraction and many more.
What do I need?
If you can, bring along a laptop so you can hack along.

Who is Joseph Wilk?
Joseph Wilk has given talks all over the world about Cucumber and was the very first developer to join the core development team over 3 years ago. He currently spends his time working at a startup called Songkick.com helping them get the best out of Cucumber. He is running workshops on Cucumber at SPA2011 and Agile2011.
