• What we'll do
Women’s Tech Hub and Knowle West Media Centre’s The Factory are teaming up to offer Tech~Maker Mondays, a free co-working session for women in South Bristol. If you are interested in exploring all sorts of useful makers tech ( 3Dprinting, lasercutters, CAD, VR...) and learning new skills come along and find out about the possibilities afforded by The Factory.
We meet between 10am and 1pm at Filwood Green Business Park. There is wifi, reserved deskspace (refreshments and biscuits) so you can get on with your work in a friendly warm and light atmosphere. At 11am we will break for coffee and biscuits; that's when we can network and also have a chance to visit KWMCThe Factory; a fantastic, friendly and well-equipped makerspace in South Bristol that is part of the Network for Creative Enterprise.
Between us we are cooking up a range of taster sessions and workshops to introduce people to what the factory can offer designer makers and tech developers - learning open source software to control 3D printers and lasercutters, creating prototypes for production.
• What to bring
laptop, notebook, the usual things you need when working away from home. There is a space to make teas and instant coffees - bring your own lunch as there are limited places to buy food within walking distance.
• Important to know
Don't worry if you can't be there at 10am on the dot, but do make sure to be there in time for the 11am coffee break.
