Talks, Snacks & Social @ Zailab

Mar 2, 2017 · Cape Town, South Africa

Hi Everyone

I trust that you all had a good break and are already stuck into the year.

Due to the conference that was scheduled for 9 February but was unfortunately cancelled, we didn't schedule any talks at the end of January / beginning of February but we are keen to get going again.

We have some new organisations that are keen to get involved with the community this year.

Zailab will be kicking us off with the trifecta of sponsoring, hosting and talking at this event. Thanks very much Zailab we appreciate your eagerness to get involved in and contribute to the community.

Ahmed Omarjee and Kornel Steyn: Our story of implementing Java CQRS Microservices

The talk will cover how we implemented Java based CQRS micro services for a cloud based contact center solution.  Some of the challenges that we faced and how we solved them or are planning on solving them. The topics we are looking at is:

an Intro to CQRS

• CQRS frameworks in Java

• Making building services faster, code generation and other strategies

• Deploying and monitoring of services

If you and/or your organisation would like to get involved with either sponsoring, hosting or talking please ping any of the organisers [Nitsan, Pavel, Trevor] or chat to us at the next event.

I am looking forward to catching up with you all there.
