Following up from a great session with Dr. Kabutz @ Allan Gray (awesome hosts, as usual) and after skipping June we are back for another eve of pizza (or equivalent) and Java/JVM-ness nattering.
Travelstart are hosting us this time and we have 2 new speakers:
Andrew Inggs on "Spring Cloud Data Flow"
Spring Cloud Data Flow (SCDF) brings together several Spring technologies to provide an orchestration layer for composing streaming (message based) applications using a simple metaphor similar to Unix pipes.
We will begin with an overview of SCDF and the underlying technologies on which it is built (including Spring Boot, Spring Integration, and Spring Cloud Stream) and show how they are put together using SCDF server, SCDF shell, and SCDF UI.
Next we will present our experience using SCDF to build a modern microservice-based architecture. And discuss what it takes to move from demoware to a production system.
We conclude with lessons learned and opportunities for the future, including Spring Cloud Function.
Jan André on "Building a REST API with Apache Camel and Swagger in Java"
Looking forward to seeing y'all there :-)
Parking: Please park on parking spaces marked "Travelstart" and mention to the guard that you are here for the Java meetup in Travelstart. You may access the parking bay via Park Road at the back of the building
