Our meeting on Mental Wellbeing in the 21st Century was really successful and important and many wanted us to carry this forward. So many said they found it helpful and for them being in the company of others there was valuable.
So we are following this meeting up to see if we can develop within our network a way whereby we can signpost people to self help groups, advice and support. We do not know if this is possible but we would like to hold this meeting to see if it is and if so to start the process.
We have a network of really talented and concerned people who can offer all sorts of support and advice – not just on mental well being but on much more – including just being supportive. We have people working with those in poverty, with families and with those marginalised in society. What we have within our network is a positive strength that we should take advantage of.
If you are interested in us developing this then please come along so that we can talk it over. We are not sure if it will work and it depends on people wanting to help develop it; but we want to give it a try.
So if you think there is an area of concern that you have, if you have a skill or strength you can contribute or if you have ideas about what we can do and how we can do it, then come along.
This could be a really valuable meeting
Although membership of our site is free we do expect all those who attend our events to pay an annual subscription that covers attendance not just one meeting but also to the vast majority of our meetups and webinars for any one year. It also allows you to bring one guest free to every meeting or webinar.
The subscription is £10 a year for those who commit to a recurrent annual payment for the next three years. During that time the price will not go up. For those who want to pay for one year only then it will be £12 for this year.
Both of the above applies to those who pay in advance by paypal, eventbrite or by cheque. For those who pay at the door or after the event then the subscription will be £15
