Structure Preserving Embedding and Minimum Volume Embedding

Dec 9, 2009 · New York, United States of America

Blake Shaw from Columbia University will be presenting his research on structure preserving embedding and minimum volume embedding. He'll touch on applications of this with respect to dimensionality reduction and clustering on spatiotemporal flow data (like automobile traffic). Blake's research papers are Structure Preserving Embedding, Minimum Volume Embedding, and Dimensionality Reduction, Clustering, and PlaceRank Applied to Spatiotemporal Flow Data. You can find more of his research on his machine learning page. Also note that the location for this meetup is different to accommodate more people.
