This online course is split into two parts. The large part of the day concentrates on briefly reviewing the basics of fracturing application as applied via the gridded fracture geometry simulators included in StimPlan™.
This includes determining basic design variables and geomechanical layering from logs, building “Rock Types” to use in describing the geologic layering, entering (or retrieving from database files) fluid and proppant data, loading the actual pressure/rate data, generating pump schedules, and running simulations.
The final part will be a look at some more advanced areas of fracturing as selected by the attendees. This 1-day course is intended to cover every major part of StimPlan™ and is outlined below. The format of the course will be online classroom style instruction working through a case history followed by discussion of other examples.
This course also includes 4 week access to StimPlan™ V8 Cloud.
