Abstract: The rise of static site generators like Jekyll, Hugo, and others, offer a faster and more secure alternative to traditional content management systems. In this talk, we’ll cover the static trend, discuss pros and cons of going static, and show how to set up a static site with Continuous Deployment.

Bio: Jason Gowans is the co-founder of Aerobatic, a static website hosting service for front-end developers. A native of Scotland, Jason's been building on the web since the '90s.
