Spread your Wings with Spannables

Aug 10, 2017 · Dallas, United States of America

Spannables are THE key to perfectly scaled, dynamic, performant content. Stop using Html.toText() to do complex layouts that end up rendering fuzzy and slow in comparison. Create layered buttons without the overdraw or recalculation, support multiple font types and background images in a single line. Learn how to create complex Canvas drawings programmatically and multiple languages without destroying a layout.  Its perhaps one of the least covered APIs (even by Google) that is used by the Top Pros.

Stacy Devino is a recognized Intel Innovator, Women Techmakers Lead, GDG Organizer, Six Sigma Blackbelt, and long time member of the Dallas Makerspace.
