This month's meetup features an interactive presentation by social media strategist,  author of LinkedIn for Recruiting and founding moderator of the international LinkedIn Bloggers Group, Des Walsh.
With over 90 million members worldwide and over 1 million in Australia,
the LinkedIn professional network is not to be ignored by anyone in
business or anyone wanting to advance their professional career, whether right here on the Gold Coast, nationally or globally.
Des will share insights, strategies and practical tips to help you leverage the power of LinkedIn to grow your business or advance your career.

Find out why LinkedIn is a preferred social media platform of choice for big companies as well as small and for indiviual professionals, including many you might never find on Facebook or Twitter.
If you don't really use LinkedIn and wondered what to do about all those invitations to "join my professional network" from people you don't know from a bar of soap, this is your chance to find out: more importantly, to fnd out how to cut through that "static" and get real value from LinkedIn.
SMCGC events provide an incomparable opportunity for local business people who want to know
more about social media for business get together with some of the local social media practitioners, ask
questions and exchange ideas over a relaxed breakfast.
Social Media Club's mission is to connect media makers from around the world to advance media literacy, promote industry standards, encourage ethical behaviour and share the lessons they have learned. A not-for-profit organisation founded in 2006, SMC Global now has over 200 chapters and is repreresented on six of the seven continents. Our motto is "If you get it, share it":  these breakfast events are one way we do that.
