So you think Power BI can dance?

Dec 13, 2017 · Perth, Australia

This month we are going to continue with the custom visual theme after Lee's great session a couple of weeks ago. Bhavik Merchant from Microsoft will be our presenter, taking us through SandDance!

SandDance is a data viz project from Microsoft Research that experiments with new genres of visualisation (even 3D) and represents an innovation in user interactions. With SandDance, every data element is always represented on the screen, and animated transitions are used between views to help people explore, understand, and communicate insights in their data. If you need a visualisation that lets you "see the forest for the trees", or in other words shows the big picture by observing the more granular details, then SandDance is for you. For those cant make it in person, we will be trying out a Skype broadcast for the first time:

A light lunch will be available from 11:45 before the main presentation kicks off at 12pm along with the broadcast.
