dd:London presents "Smart Spaces: Infrastructures for Innovation"

Feb 20 - Oct 24, 2015 · London, United Kingdom
The spaces we work in play a silent, yet integral role in how we work. Our creative and technological outputs are influenced by our surroundings, so these environments need to be designed in such a way to foster that creativity and innovation. At the next Digital DUMBO, we’ll be discussing how these environments affect our productivity, mindfulness and creativity and how our workspaces need to be smarter if we’re to create an infrastructure for innovation. We've put together a super-panel (see below), who'll be covering productivity, wellbeing, culture, community and technology. Followed by a good old Digital DUMBO knees-up. On the Panel... Araceli Camargo Founder, THECUBE Araceli Camargo is a cognitive neuroscientist and workspace placemaker. She is the cofounder of two leading innovation hubs, THECUBE in London and WECREATE in NYC. Her area of research is the relationship between physical environments and cognition. In other words how our physical environments affect the how we think and our well being. Philip Tidd Consulting Practice Area Leader, Gensler With more than 20 years of experience in workplace consultancy, real estate advising, and design and urban strategy, Philip has worked with global organizations across mainland Europe to implement workplace programs attuned to the region’s many cultural and legislative variations. Dickon Hayward Associate Director/Architect Studio RHE Since joining ‘Studio RHE’ in 2000, Dickon's work has included a variety of successful high profile projects for City Lofts, Berkeley Homes, City Living, Harbour Land, and Porto Montenegro as Design Director of the Lido project which he completed in the summer of 2011. Moderating the panel... Chloe Nicholls Chloe works with startups and entrepreneurs on marketing, PR and growth strategies.
