Day 1 - 18:30 - 21:30 Friday 28th Sept. Faraday Wharf, Holt St (Venue A) B7 4BB, Birmingham
18:30 – Sign in & Collect name badge in reception area from 18:30.
18:45 - Event starts.• Introduction from Gavin Broughton. • How Technology Works in the Age of Abundance (YouTube Video).
19:05 – Open Data - James Cattell: James worked at Digital Birmingham in charge of the requirements for an Open Data Platform. As of 24th Sept he is now working for the Gov Digital Service (GDS) in London. • The recommendations to Birmingham City Council to create an Open Data Platform. • The National & Local Direction of Open Data. • Shaping the future of how Government provides it’s data. - Followed by Q&A. 19:30 – Smart Cities Keynote - Rick Robinson: Rick works for IBM Smart Cities, is on the Birmingham Smart City Commission & Chairs Birmingham Science City. His blog is here:   • The Future of Birmingham as a Smart City. - Followed by Q&A & "Outro" by Gavin Broughton.
20:00ish - Group Discussion • Problems which need solving. • **Ideas for hacking over the weekend. • Thoughts on how to use data to make Birmingham a better / Smarter City. ** When there are at least 4 solid ideas to hack about with over the weekend, the beer & wine will be opened and more personal conversations can begin, up to 21:30pm max.
Day 2 - 10:30 - 20:30 Saturday 29th Sept. "Quest Vitamins" Building (Venue B) – The site of the new “Tech Tropicana”Venture Way, Birmingham B7 4AP
10:30 – 20:30 (MIN & MAX) – Begin working on the ideas from Friday evening.
The building is 1 minute walk to the right of Faraday Wharf, first right over the canal bridge. In the morning please meet outside in the car park area & Gavin will show you in.
The day concludes with a "how far have you got" & "what issues have you faced" discussion over pizza.
Day 3 - 10:30 - 20:30 Sunday 30th Sept.
10:30 – 20:30 (MIN & MAX) – Continue working on & finish the ideas from Friday evening. The building is the same as on Saturday.
The day concludes with presentations of whatever has been achieved which will be filmed by Boilerhouse Media. Free pizza will again be provided.

The nearest Parking is available in the car park underneath Faraday Wharf, to the left as you look at the building, in Love Lane, for a small charge.
