Shop Access / Equipment Usage

May 22, 2017 · Charlottesville, United States of America

If you have donate to our Kickstarter you get a two for one deal. Every $5 towards the Kickstarter gets you $10 worth of workshop credits if the campaign succeeds. Same for those who donated checks along they way.

$10 hour / One hour minimum.

You must be a member and RSVP for Makerspace access.

Access to the workshop includes woodworking equipment, small CNC, welding equipment and 3D Printers.

This is for tool access for building your own projects. Design, assembly techniques, and instructional time fees are based on scope of work. We offer guidance on safe tool usage and. You however are  expected to bring your supplies.

Remember to bring your own tape measure, eye and ear protection!

Anyone under 18 must be companied by their legal guardian for shop access.

We make stuff using old school joinery mortice and tenon, basic carpentry, cabinet making and CNC manufacturing. Along with a little design work thrown in for good measure from time to time but don't guarantee that there is a Tinsmiths funded project going on every week.

Please note we will be using serious and potentially dangerous equipment so no alcohol will be permitted. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave that we feel may endanger the safety of themselves or others.
