SFJS #11: Why JavaScript?

May 3, 2011 · San Francisco, United States of America

The phoenix-like rebirth of the San Francisco JavaScript meetup will happen from 6:30-8pm at CitizenSpace. We're going to have a great speaker and sponsored soda and pizza, so make sure to sign up and show up!

There will be:

  1. An awesome venue provided by CitizenSpace, the granddaddy of San Francisco coworking spaces. CitizenSpace is also offering a free month of coworking to all new members from the SFJS group -- check out their perk in the left hand column.
  2. Free pizza and soda sponsored by Techcofounder.com. "Techcofounder.com is a dating site where hackers are the hot girls. After creating an anonymous profile, developers get pitched new startup ideas from other entrepreneurs."
  3. A great JavaScript talk by Francois Laberge, who will be discussing using JavaScript on different platforms, from the browser to the server, applications, plugins and desktops.
  4. Fifteen-second announcements, if you have something to share with the community at large
  5. Great networking opportunities with other JS folks

Our attendance is capped at 80, but we will have a waiting list if you can't RSVP. Please only RSVP if you will be able to attend.
