Hope you had a great holiday!
sfpython will start 2011 with Mongrel2 by Zed Shaw and a few lightning talks including:
- Using Gevent + Redis for distributed realtime stats
- Charting library for python and django
- Using Sentry to view and interact with your error logs
There is still room for lightning talk, please indicate so when you RSVP with the building security form. Also, if you have the talents and equipment to video tape the presentations, we'd be so grateful! Let me know :-)
Here is the agenda for the evening -
6:30p - Check-in and mingle, with Mexican Food and Beer for a change thanks to our generous sponsor Lolapps
7.10p - Welcome and 3-4 Lightning Talks (5 minutes each)
8.00p - Featured Speaker (Zed Shaw)
9.00p - Q & A and more Mingling, Ping pong/beer pong...

About our featured speaker:
Zed Shaw is most recently the author of "Learn Python The Hard Way" and the Mongrel2 web server as well as numerous blogs.
Abstract: A simple presentation on how to use the wonderful ZeroMQ project to easily talk to 20+ other programming languages and construct many different network architectures. The presentation will be heavy on code in a few languages, not just Python.
Sounds good? Looking forward to meeting you and feel free to ping me with questions or suggestions -
