September Internet of Things talks at Redgate
This month we're pleased to have an IoTlaunchpad finalist, Damon from OpenTRV, talk to us about his plans to save the world with IoT. We're also welcoming back Patrick from Chirp who has just survived his first crowdfunding campaign and is here to tell us his secrets. Crowdfunding is changing the game for early-stage startups, but crowdfunding is hard. If you need tactical, practical advice on how to get your project or business funded, then this talk is for you.
The agenda will be:
Arrive 6:45 for a 7pm start
> Introduction by Mark Cheverton (@ennui2342)
> Which end of a soldering iron is the hot one? - Damon Hart-Davis (@opentrv)
> How to win at crowdfunding - Patrick Bergel (@goodmachine)
Damon Hart-Davis and OpenTRV are on a mission to cut 10% of the entire UK's carbon emissions using IoT. Damon will explain the link between open source, footfall in London bus shelters and putting hardware sensors into the hands of software developers.
