Nowadays, the collection of data with different ETL tools is highly relevant for companies. Gathering data from different sources as well as loading huge arrays could be time-consuming and inefficient. In addition, the execution of parallel SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages with resource requirements can be a limiting factor. Hence, Microsoft provided a built-in scale-out functionality from SQL Server 2017.
This presentation will begin with the definition of scalability-types. We will talk about the SSIS scale-out architecture and will introduce the involved system-parts. The attendees will learn the basics, receive checklists and get acquainted with best practices for building up their own SSIS scale-out solutions.
