The Responsive Web Design class runs on Saturday, May 3rd from 9am-5pm.
The most popular computers today have a variety of screen resolutions, from tiny BlackBerry to Android phones to iPad minis to larger tablets that approach desktop sizes. In two years more people will access the web via these mobile devices than with desktop PCs. Responsive design allows us web developers to target all of these devices and build future-friendly websites that work for all users.
NOTE: This class requires intermediate HTML and CSS knowledge. If you're not sure what intermediate knowledge means, please email us at [masked].
Your Teacher: Autumn Welles, Front End Developer at Coalmarch Productions
When not in front of a computer, Autumn can be found teaching her dog new tricks, drinking local beer, or enjoying the outdoors. She also enjoys watching 90's TV shows while crocheting when the weather is chilly. In the past, she has volunteered on farms from Washington state to Arizona and driven all across the United States (a few times over).
Your laptop. Note: A netbook or tablet is NOT a substitute.
A text editor. We recommend Sublime Text 3 (It's free and available for both Mac, PC or Linux).
Refund policy: Your payment of $80 guarantees your seat in the entire course. Please note that we cannot issue refunds, since there's an overhead to issuing refunds via Meetup.com and we already offer the workshops at such a low cost. We put proceeds into the chapter fund, which we use as our scholarship fund.
Other Disclaimers: Our program and curriculum are geared toward adults over the age of 18; at this time we do not accept minors as students in our courses and workshops.
