ReHacked sessions are purely hands-on labs for the ReactJS Tampa Bay Community. Bring your laptop in and get down and dirty with coding in React!
Please note that no food or drink will be provided for the lab, so we encourage you to grab something before joining us!
6:00-6:30: Guests arrive and general networking
• Session: Redux Basics With React
• Led By: Eric Nograles and John Hampton
• Level: Beginner to Intermediate
• Description: Now that you've had a chance to dip your toes in React, you may be running into trouble with sharing data across components. State management is one of the biggest challenges in UI development. Thankfully, Redux is available as a very powerful toolset to augment your React applications even more!
In this ReHacked lab, we will build upon our original React application (https://rehacked-spa-basics.firebaseapp.com), decompose it for better maintainability/scalability, and tie it into Redux to bring sanity to its state management!
We will be meeting at the Hive @ John F. Germany Library. If you enter the library from the Ashley Dr. entrance, walk past Information to the left. Go through the glass tunnel and through the children's books section. You will see an elevator by the exits in the back. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor to get to the Hive.
Note that parking in downtown Tampa can be a little spotty. Street parking is generally available and there is also the parking garage across from the library that you can use at cost.
If you have trouble finding The Hive, feel free to call or text Eric [masked]), John [masked]), or Josh [masked]).
