JS Roundabout #12 will take place at Kobalt Music's offices near Cannon Street on Tuesday May 1st, where we will be discussing Redux and State Management.
After hearing from Kobalt Music (details TBC), we will hear from Phoebe Greig (BBC), who will be discussing the benefits of using Redux to manage API calls, with a practical walkthrough of managing API calls with Redux, using thunk middleware.
Finally, we will hear from William Duclot of Theodo, who will be talking about managing your form state using Redux-Form. Visual feedback, asynchronous validation, custom inputs, multi-pages form, filtering... Learn how to cut through the mess of managing forms in front-end thanks to Redux and Redux-Form, and be prepared to implement the craziest of your client's requests in record time! By storing your form's state in the Redux store and by providing powerful primitives, Redux-Form allows you fine-grained control while being light and easy to use. Walk with me through common use cases, advanced practices and gotchas to avoid!
Pizza and beer/wine/soft drinks will be provided as usual - look forward to seeing you all there!
