In the hectic environment of startups where you never know which part of your business will grow in which speed your company and your software architecture need to be as flexible as possible.
To achive this flexibility we (One team of 3-4 Software Engineers + 1-2 Freelancer) decided to leverage from the Microservice approach.
We used Domain Driven Design for the start and went even more towards loose coupling with CQRS and Event Sourcing.
Even in the startup world we couldn't begin on the green field.
We had to maintain the bought monolitic software solution where we didn't have access to the source code.
Our software pattern had to interact with the legacy system until every functionality was rebuilt.
In this session we will see how the software architecture evolved through to the changing requirements and the used technologies.
I am happy to share all the learnings and decisions that we had to make in that year.
