ReactJS + ShipStation

Jun 26, 2018 · Austin, United States of America

A lot of big companies are transitioning legacy code bases into ReactJS. Not only do they transition their view templates but their whole tooling around the ReactJS ecosystem. From state management, component modeling, asynchronous interactions, ES5/ES6/ES7, and CSS management, to say the least, transitioning an old application into modern practices is non-trivial.

Colin Hanna & Broderick Young from ShipStation will be presenting on how ShipStation transitioned from using Backbone to React. They will go over the challenges of transitioning to a new Front End stack and the challenges they overcame as a part of the effort.
