Your trainer for this meetup is Jon Garber from Research Platform Services.
This meetup is being held on Thursday 17th October 4-8pm.
About this Event:
Data visualisation is a powerful tool for understanding your data, and presenting your results in a digestible manner. Matplotlib is one of the most popular Python data visualisation packages (not to mention, the most customizable), and is also the base for many other powerful Python data viz libraries. (Hint we will look at a few of these)
Come along for an evening of drinks, nibbles, and an introduction to the Matplotlib package, along with a guided data visualisation challenge.
It is recommended that users already know at least a beginner's level of Python, ideally also with some Pandas knowledge.
**Requirements** Attendees should bring a laptop (with administrative privileges!) and charger, with Python, Jupyter notebooks and the pandas and matplotlib package pre-installed. You can find instructions for how to do this in this guide: http://go.unimelb.edu.au/sjd6"
