Join us on a whirlwind tour through a number of important computer science topics, designed for Python hackers without a formal CS background. If you can hack out Python code without too much trouble, but don't always know how and why it works (or how you might make it run faster) then this workshop may be for you. Offered in conjunction with PyBay, regional Python Conference for San Francisco / Bay Area.
Tickets
Tickets for this workshop cost $250. Please purchase your tickets here and help me thank Ozan Onay for donating his time to offset the conference' cost while making you a better software engineer. Be sure to get your ticket ASAP, as RSVPing here on Meetup does not guarantee your spot.
Who should attend?
Confident Python programmer, with an appetite for computer science.
Workshop Description
We'll cover some computer architecture, algorithms and data structures, compilers and networking, in each case peeling back some of the layers of abstraction that you may be accustomed to working with day to day. We will combine challenge-based exercises and clear explanations in what's certain to be an entertaining and eye-opening workshop.
Preparation
You should come ready to write and run Python 3 code.
