We’re going to the movies for IoT Waterloo’s next meetup! Join us at Apollo Cinema on Thursday November 26, at 7pm (doors at 6pm) for a free, private screening of the award winning documentary, The Human Face of Big Data, followed by a panel discussion with local experts in big data.
The Human Face of Big Data explores how real time data streaming in from satellites, billions of sensors, GPS enabled cameras and smart phones is beginning to enable us, as individuals and collectively as a society, to sense, measure and understand aspects of our existence in ways never possible before.
This is a revolution that could have a thousand times greater impact on our lives than the internet.
Produced by a critically acclaimed photo-journalist and an award-winning Hollywood director, the 55 minute film features conversations with more than thirty leading voices in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, technology and digital medicine.
David Jonker, Sr. Director, Big Data Initiatives, SAP
Erin McLaughlin, Managing Partner, Big Incites
Greta Cutulenco, Co-founder & CEO, Acerta Systems Analytics
