Predicting the future with R, Visual Studio & Azure Machine Learning

Mar 15, 2018 · Charlotte, United States of America

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a hospital, and how they are able to assess the level of risk for a patient? Learn how patient data across multiple resources is consolidated into a single actionable patient record, which helps health care professionals not only offer highly accurate treatments, but also provide preventive care, while reducing cost incurred by patients. Through this session, attendees will learn how to develop an end-to-end experiment to asses the patient risk at the time of admission and operationlize the model.

Predictive analytics enables uncovering previously unknown patterns and relationships buried under heaps of data, and platforms like Windows Azure Machine Learning and Data Analytics aid the process by offering a streamlined experience. R is the de-facto programming language among the data science community that enables data analytics. In this demo-based session, you'll learn the fundamentals of predictive analytics and data science algorithms, writing R programs to identify associations and relationships in your data, and publishing experiments into the cloud.
