PostgreSQL is a one of the longest standing Open Source Database systems with legions of users leading the way to a sane, productive and performance driven data layer. This presentation will cover an overview of PostgreSQL technologies including:

• Features you can't believe you lived without

• Community

Bio: Joshua D. Drake is a PostgreSQL Consultant and has been consulting on PostgreSQL since Postgres95. Throughout his PostgreSQL career he has performed a variety of functions within the community including releasing an O'Reilly book on PostgreSQL, being part of the sysadmins and advocacy teams. Further he ran a biannual conference series dedicated to PostgreSQL between the years of 2007 - 2011. He is a former Director for SPI (the non-profit for PostgreSQL.org). Lastly he is also a Founder of United States PostgreSQL and a current Director for Postgres Foundation.

Schedule: Doors open at 6:00 pm. Food arrives around 6:05. Presentation starts at 6:30.
