"Question Answering: Zero-shot learning for contract analysis"

At hyperlex we are working on analyzing legal documents in general and contracts in particular for a variety of clients and activity areas.
Contracts are very diverse and each new contract type comes with a wide range of new information and clauses to extract and analyze with no/very little annotations.
To be able to leverage acquired knowledge and reasonning when processing new data points we are turning to a zero-shot approach based on a question answering modelization.

"Zero-shot and few-shot learning for multilingual named entity recognition on a real application case: anonymization of court decisions"

Doctrine worked for many years on the development of NLP models applied to French legal documents. We're currently gauging whether or not our achievements on the french corpus can be further capitalized upon when tackling other languages, hopefully with a lower barrier to entry. The cross-language generalization is a special case of “zero-shot” and "few-shot" learning. It’s the ability of a multi-lingual model, fine-tuned on a specific task in a given (or several) language to perform the same task but in a different language. This challenge is applied to the anonymization task.
