Sam Cho, Embedded Software Engineer, Cameras: How we build software for cameras
Samantha Cho, embedded systems engineer, will be talking about how her team creates and maintains a scalable system for a rapidly growing device fleet. This consists of multiple components, including a base OS that works across our various device models, collecting analytics and health metrics, ensuring excellent firmware image quality, and bringing up new camera models, all while experiencing exponential growth in customers and devices.
Grace Wang, Backend Engineer, Search and Computer Vision: Face Search
Grace Wang, backend engineer in Search and Computer Vision, will talk about the development of Verkada’s search system, which consists of features like person, vehicle, and license plate search. She will cover how the project was started, how her team iterates, and how they scale the system to accommodate the growth in traffic.
