November LNETM (AI in the Enterprise - ethics and the Future of work)

Nov 25, 2019 · London, United Kingdom

AI in the Enterprise - Ethical Implications and the Future of Work

AI is set to have create a paradigm shift in how people interact with technology, no more so than in the enterprise and with the future of work. As these technologies continue to evolve some of the challenges around how they work relative to norms in our society are becoming more apparent, while others still remain undefined.

The November LNETM will discuss the growth of AI use cases within organisations and the moral & ethical challenges that will be faced by those managing these technologies - from how to insure that people are treated fairly and without discrimination, to the opportunities/risks associated with bots & AI based technologies becoming a greater resource within the working environment.

We have lined up a top quality set of speakers to discuss these topics, including:

  • Clare Dillon (Head of Strategic Partnerships at Nearform and also an expert on emerging tech trends)
  • Angelique Mohring (CEO/Founder of GainX and also speaker on the Future of Work)
  • Michael O’Toole (former Head of Enterprise Infrastructure at Morgan Stanley, who now teaches applied Ethics of AI at Goldsmiths)

In additon, we will have demo presentations from two innovative emerging companies in this space:

  • Smarter Human offer products and services for companies to make their use of AI and machine learning ethical and compliant to regulation. They specialise in AI governance, preventing algorithmic bias and explainability - speficially to ensure fair outcomes and evidence rationale behind AI based decisions.
  • Demo 2: TBC
